Ben became a physical therapist to inspire both physical and psychological growth in his patients, adapting each treatment to their personal goals. A Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist, he values the quality time spent getting to know the people he treats. What he loves most is watching progress happen in real time, as patients regain their quality of life. In his free time, he's playing basketball, hiking, at the beach, or with his wife.

After volunteering and researching the field, Brad was drawn to the close, hands-on relationships PT builds during recovery — and he's now practiced for over 35 years. He's a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and Certified Manual Physical Therapist (NAIOMT). The best part of the job, he says, is meeting people and helping them reach their goals for better health and a better life. Outside the clinic, he's walking his dog, working in the yard, or kickboxing.

Victor found his way to physical therapy by way of the gym; friends noticed how thoughtfully he structured their workouts and encouraged him toward training, but he wanted to go further, and PT became the path. A Boston University graduate, he works at our aquatic and W.O.R.C. clinics. For him, the best part of the work is the relationships: with enough curiosity and compassion, he says, you earn a trust that extends well beyond the walls of the clinic. Outside work, he's body surfing, running, writing poems, volunteering, and clearing trees in Waimānalo.

Kay's passion for physical therapy started during five years as a PT tech, which led her to become a physical therapist assistant in Oregon. Over five years as a PTA, her commitment to patient care grew into a desire to make the greatest clinical impact she could — so she pursued her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. A Hawaii Pacific University graduate, she's an AIB-Certified Vestibular and Concussion Therapist working at our aquatic and W.O.R.C. clinics. The best part of the job, she says, is helping patients progress, reach their goals, and regain their quality of life. Off the clock, you'll find her hiking, walking her dog, spending time with family, or having a mai tai at Monkeypod.

Ross's fascination with anatomy and kinesiology led him first to become a PT assistant, then to massage therapy — driven by a desire to help people heal their pain. A graduate of Kapiolani Community College and the Institute of Structural Medicine, he's a Structural Medicine Specialist with over 25 years of experience, specializing in myofascial release, structural integration, injury rehab, cupping, and taping. Outside the clinic, he's with his wife and their fluffy family members, working out, catching a movie, or being active outdoors.

Jadelyn came to massage therapy from teaching yoga, where her favorite part was hands-on work with alignment and form. Board-certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork, she specializes in chronic pain management, orthopedic injury recovery, and relaxation massage. For her, nothing beats hearing a patient say they feel better walking out than they did walking in. When she's not in the clinic, she's a professional equine massage therapist, a runner, an equestrian, and a continuing-education instructor for fellow LMTs.

Ryan has a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Pacific University and went on to pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from West Coast University. Ryan decided to become a PT after being a patient himself from multiple sports injuries; he spent time volunteering with F&L and decided to pursue his passion for the profession. He is now an FCE Specialist and executes Physical Work Performance Evaluations

Colleen became a PTA because she wanted to be out from behind a desk, working with people and with her hands. A SUNY Orange graduate with over 20 years of experience, she specializes in acute and outpatient therapy, and says her patients are the best part of the job. Outside work, she's outdoors, which she says is easy to do in Hawaiʻi.
