Randell is a graduate of Kapiolani Community College and has his Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. He specializes in lifting mechanics for sport, including powerlifting and weightlifting. He explains what motivated him to become a PTA: “Dealing with nagging pains and injuries on my own throughout my lifting career started my interest. I thought if I could manage my own injuries, why not help others in the same boat? When people get injured, self-confidence starts to lack. This may negatively impact recovery and their expectations. Some just need that extra hand to get themselves up from the very bottom and guide them during their recovery process.” Randell is that helping hand and feels very rewarded by his job through socializing with patients and creating a fun environment that encourages exercise and wellness. Outside of the clinic, Randell is most likely barbering, working out, or eating.
